A question for my lovely antropoloogs and the like…
Which anthropologists do you cherish and admire; why? Who are your least favorites?

dakreeeets answered:
du Waal’s research on morality and Chomsky on linguistics. They’re badasses. Honorable mention is Pinker only cause he’s psych.
-
sleepysarahzzz answered:
Dr. adrien hannus, mostly because he is my prof. And was on time team america. Also George Frison for his research on the northern plains.
-
alphacaeli answered:
I know this isn’t strictly correct, but I’m going to give an honourable mention to Darwin as the sine qua non of palaeoanthropology.

miroux answered:
Thank you for all of your answers so far!
-
gardant answered:
Love Boas for refuting racist anthropology; Mauss & Taussig for irresistible rhetorical swag; Lynn Meskell for materiality, heritage rights.
-
abrildelarge answered:
I Think Mauss is really interesting, about what you can do with him, and the least it’s Levi-Strauss and I think is just for personal options

filsdelalune answered:
I love Margaret Mead, she brought important questions to our discipline! But I’m not an anthropologist yet, just third semester :D!
